Marsh retirement all about timing

Longtime state Senator Henry Marsh announced his retirement yesterday, effective this week. It makes sense that the announcement comes now, after the controversial budget issues of the past few weeks have been settled and, thanks to Phil Puckett, control of the Senate is not at issue at all.

But Bearing Drift's Norm Leahy suggests another bit of serendipity about the timing. Thanks to Joe Morrissey's recent troubles, there's no chance the Delegate will go for the Senate seat. Between this suggestion and Delegate Mark Keam's call for Morrissey's resignation, is there anyone left who likes the guy? (Meanwhile, Morrissey says he's been victimized by a phone hacker. Never a dull moment.)
